Hydrotech Decanting Hose Kit

With our decanting hose kit, it is possible to use a larger 7 or 12 Litre cylinder for storage and top up a smaller 3 or 4 Litre cylinder that is used in the field. This means fewer trips to a filling station. The decanting hose kit allows you to fill your smaller cylinder from the larger one.

Using a 12 Litre cylinder, you can get about 5 top-ups of a 3 Litre or 4 top-ups of a 4 Litre cylinder. The top-ups will range from 300 Bar down to 200 Bar as pressure reduces. This assumes that the 3 or 4 Litre cylinder is run down to no less than 150 Bar each time.

You can easily couple the decanting adaptor to the end of your existing charging kit, or you can have a dedicated decanting system to avoid messing around with fill adaptors or decanting adaptors.

Please note that this decanting hose should only be used where at least one valve has a bleed.
